Bihar is gearing up for a major political moment as Nitish Kumar prepares to take oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time tomorrow. According to top NDA sources, 22 ministers will be sworn in alongside him at Patna’s historic Gandhi Maidan—an event expected to showcase the alliance’s renewed strength after its sweeping win with 202 seats in the Assembly elections.
The BJP is set to induct nine MLAs, including Samrat Choudhary, Vijay Sinha, Nitin Navin, Renu Devi and Mangal Pandey, with a careful caste balance covering Bhumihar, EBC, Brahmin, Rajput, Kayastha and Vaishya communities. The JDU is likely to swear in 10 ministers, featuring names like Vijay Choudhary, Ashok Choudhary, Shrawan Kumar and Zama Khan, ensuring representation from Dalit, Muslim, Yadav, EBC, Rajput and Bhumihar groups.
Smaller allies will also get a place at the table: LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Raju Tiwari, HAM leader Santosh Suman and RLM’s Snehlata Kushwaha are all expected to take oath. With PM Modi and BJP CMs scheduled to attend, the ceremony is being seen as a major NDA power show.
