Uncertainty around Imran Khan’s condition has grown sharper, with the former Pakistan prime minister’s son saying the family no longer knows whether he is safe — or even alive.
Kasim Khan, speaking to Reuters, said there has been no independent contact with his father for “at least a couple of months.” He described the silence as a form of “psychological torture,” adding that authorities have provided no verifiable update on the jailed leader’s status.
“We have no information at all about his condition,” he said. “Our greatest fear is that something irreversible is being hidden from us.”
Imran Khan has been held in prison since his conviction last year, but restrictions around access and communication have tightened in recent weeks, fueling speculation about his health and treatment. Pakistani authorities have not issued any clarification despite repeated requests from his family and party members.
For now, the mystery only deepens — and the family says the silence is becoming impossible to ignore.
